Aircraft 20762 in Saudi Arabia during Desert Hurry Up and Wait. I think it was either a 69 or 70 model. Anyway it was an OH-58C ATAS that flew like a sewer lid. I lived in it for about a month later in the trip

After the big party, in Iraq. Doug Crawford was the PC and I was the lowly AO. We had everything we needed in the aircraft. I was issued a Ruger .38 with five rounds and nothing more. I took the crewchief's M-16 and all his rounds for the border crossing, he had my paperweight and five rounds. Nothing is too good for our troops, and that's exactly what they're gonna get
